Winkbed Comfort & Feel
The WinkBeds mattress has several firmness options available, but we were sent the most common selection - Euro-Firm - which we rated it at a 6.5 out of 10 (10 being the firmest). This bed can also be had in Soft, Firm, or Plus options for heavier sleepers who are over 300 pounds.
Initially the bed seemed too hard to me—a feeling I usually experience when using many other mattresses—but over time my body adjusted to its new surface and now I feel better supported with this kind of feel under me. The euro-top layer gives just enough give without compromising on the overall quality of support that flows through from below, thanks to strong springs doing a wonderful job when it comes to providing total body support. As far as back and side sleeping goes, this bed does an amazing job supporting all positions very well; even if you're turning onto your stomach or back unexpectedly!
Winkbed Motion Transfer
This model and all of the other Crafted hybrids use a pocketed coil system for their mattress. Independent coils reduce motion transfer when you are sleeping with someone else. In our experience, there was some motion transfer when laying on this particular mattress. The bouncing effect of the springs transferred a little more than most foam mattresses, but it wasn't too terrible; an expected occurrence when using both foam and coils.
Winkbed Off Gassing
This company uses Certi-PUR foams and has little smell or off-gassing. You will experience some "new" scents, but it was not problematic and went away quickly. You can sleep on this mattress the same night.
Winkbed Edge Support
Edge support for this mattress is very sturdy and better than many other mattresses we've tested. I slept near the edge one time to test it out - no rolling off edges or bottoming out when my weight was applied on one side of the bed. This was largely due to its firmness as well as a layer of foam added for extra edge support.

The WinkBed does a great time at not sleeping hot thanks to the clever use of its materials and construction. The mix of gel foam, micro air springs, and inner steel coils—all aimed at keeping your body from overheating—is the perfect combo for anyone who wants to sleep comfortably all night long.
In comparison to other types of mattress such as traditional foam or latex ones, this is one major benefit that you will never find anywhere else and something this hybrid-design does a spectacular job handling.

Final Thoughts
The hybrid design of the WinkBed provides good comfort and support for all sleeping positions while also providing lots of bounce. The thickness (15 inches) and multi-layer construction make it perfect for heavier sleepers. Additionally, there is some motion transfer, but that is to be expected given to the innerspring construction - just something people need to account for when buying a bed. Low sinkage and great edge support also give this bed high marks! Overall, we really like the WinkBeds and it's one of our favorite coil/foam hybrids so far. They don't ship compressed in a box which has been awesome because they've had no problems shipping or anything at all. It includes white glove delivery which sets them apart from other brands on the market too! In short, if you're looking for an affordable yet effective mattress then take a look at these babies!
